SAO TOME AND PRINCIPE
São Tomé and Príncipe, or officially the Democratic Republic of São Tomé and Príncipe, is an island country located the offshore Gulf of Guinea on the western coast of the Continent of Africa. São Tomé and Príncipe Islands form the island country. As the country is an island country, it does not have a border neighbor and it is located offshore Equatorial Guinea and Gabon, and the northwest coast of Gabon is 250 km away. The capital city of the country is São Tomé.
According to the official census conducted in 2012 in São Tomé and Príncipe, its population was determined to be 178.739. Currently, this is the last official census and the population was determined to be 190.428 according to 2014 estimated census data. The majority of the country's population lives in the capital city, São Tomé.
